Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 29 July 2026

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the Roots Fine Catering website or placing any order or booking with us. By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. About Us

Roots Fine Catering ("we", "us", "our") is a professional catering company operating in the United Kingdom. Our registered business address and contact details can be found on our Contact page.

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website at rootsfinecatering.co.uk and all services provided by Roots Fine Catering.

2. Services

We provide premium catering services for events including but not limited to: corporate events, weddings, private parties, birthday celebrations, anniversaries, and special occasions.

Our services include buffet catering, plated service, drop-off catering, family-style dining, and food stations. We also offer individual online ordering for home delivery or collection.

All menu items and services are subject to availability. We reserve the right to substitute menu items of equivalent or superior quality where necessary due to ingredient availability or seasonal changes.

3. Bookings and Orders

Event Catering: All event bookings require a formal quote. Quotes are provided after you submit an enquiry through our website or contact us directly. A booking is only confirmed once you have received written confirmation from us and a deposit has been paid.

Online Orders: Individual meal orders placed through our website are confirmed at the point of checkout. Orders are subject to our minimum order value and delivery area restrictions.

We recommend booking event catering a minimum of 4–6 weeks in advance. We may accept last-minute bookings subject to availability, with a minimum 72-hour notice period.

4. Pricing and Payment

All prices are quoted in British Pounds Sterling (£) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable.

Event catering quotes are valid for 14 days from the date of issue. Prices may be subject to change after this period.

For event bookings, a deposit of 25–50% of the total quoted amount is required to confirm the booking. The remaining balance is due no later than 7 days before the event date.

Online orders must be paid in full at the time of ordering via our secure payment gateway.

We accept payment by card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), bank transfer, and other methods as stated at checkout.

5. Cancellations

For our cancellation policy, including applicable fees and notice periods, please refer to our Cancellation Policy.

6. Dietary Requirements and Allergens

We take allergen management seriously. Customers must disclose all dietary requirements and allergies at the time of booking or ordering.

While we take every reasonable precaution, our kitchen handles a wide variety of ingredients including the 14 major allergens. We cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.

Full allergen information for our dishes is available on our website. It is the customer's responsibility to check this information and inform us of any requirements in advance.

7. Delivery

Delivery is available within our designated delivery zones. A delivery fee applies to orders below our free delivery threshold. Current delivery fees and minimum order values are displayed during checkout.

Delivery time slots are estimated and we cannot guarantee exact delivery times due to factors outside our control such as traffic conditions.

Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery. If no one is available to receive the order, we will attempt to contact you using the details provided at checkout.

8. Food Safety

All food is prepared in accordance with UK food safety regulations. Our kitchen operates under Food Standards Agency guidelines.

Once food has been delivered or collected, it is the customer's responsibility to store and handle it appropriately. We recommend consuming food within the timeframes stated on packaging.

We accept no liability for illness or injury resulting from mishandling or improper storage of food after it has left our premises.

We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from your use of our services or website.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
